Expect to push yourself. Expect hard workouts and to be dead tired. Expect that to be a normal occurrence. Expect to feel like you want curl in a ball and cry because you’re in so much pain. Expect to hate the sport at some point. Expect to question your sanity. Expect to push your limits so far…
Accurate post, going through the ‘I hate XC phase’ right now because I missed out on track. XC really is worth the punishing hill workouts and the bone-tired feeling after high mileage weeks. It just has some kind of magic that track doesn’t…each sport is special in their own way.

if it helps you all, just like, print all or some or one of these out, stick it on your mirror, read it out loud to yourself every morning. it may sound silly but i did a similar thing during my recovery, and it really did help.
all those words are from my heart. you really are awesome.

I might be able to get my mileage in for next week.
I might be a normal runner next week.
I might be a normal runner.
fuck that I’m weird,
but needless to say I’m -hoping- to be running 40’s by the middle of July!

Don’t label yourself. You’re an individual. And most importantly, don’t label others. We’re individuals. What advice would I give people? Return back to Self. For some people, they know who they are and they never stray from their path. For some people, they lose who they are, and in turn, find…
Best advice anyone could possibly give. Being yourself is the most fulfilling and greatest things ever
