Physical therapist says I can start running in the first week of June!!!! CELEBRATE FUCKERS, I’M BACK
Another 20 min aqua jogging! I actually can’t believe that I’m excited for XC (I think it’s the fact that I get to run again in a few weeks). At least I know that physically going into pre-season training I’ll be fit, but that cardiovascular health ;[ that’ll be a bumpy road, I’m just hoping that it comes back quickly!!
Crazy how badly a runner can crave a race, competition, hard work. We need it, we thrive on it, we live for it. Is it the pain? The glory? The satisfaction? The aching of our bodies afterwards? The mental duress? Whatever it is, we need it.
I need to personally push my limits…I need the hard work, the sweat, to know that I’m physically getting stronger and able to beat people. I like to get dizzy and feeling I want to die during my workouts, I crave the times where my coach is telling me to go faster and I think I can’t. But then I do, I break a barrier. When after a workout I can barely get in a cool down because I can’t breathe - those days are the best.
I only did dorsi flextion and plantar flextion but it’s better than nothing!! and I might get my boot off this week :] Very good Monday for Kara
So yesterday I saw the doc, she said that in a few weeks I’ll get an xray to see if everything is healing nicely. Still in the boot, probably another week or two at the least. I feel really good though, and this was meant to happen for a reason. Happy running guys! Stay healthy and enjoy the gawwgeous weather that is sure to come in a few weeks :]
Raced yesterday, didn’t get what I was expecting. I have to heal up more, and stay focused on the big goal in a few weeks. I know I’m in shape still, went out in 68 for my 800…let’s not talk about how I finished. This just proves I’m not 100 percent yet and as much as I hate it, I need to focus on climbing back to that number.
I just miss running around with no pain…I did a tiny bit of running (hey better than nothing. 2 laps, then 2x200 @ 36,35 with 36 sec rest in between. Nothing crazy, but it hurt my leg, so not 100 percent. But, I’m racing this weekend so yay :] it’s the little things that you appreciate when you can’t run for a while…
My leg is healing very nicely, I aqua jogged 15 min WU, 5x 1:30 hard, :45 off with 5 min rest and then 5x:30/:30 off then CD! I’m coming back soooooon
